Sophia Ferguson, the youngest of four siblings was born 7th May, 1965 to Iva Williams in the beautiful city of Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. Sophia attended Uriah McPhee Primary School, Aquinas College, Intimark Training and the College of The Bahamas. In 1989 Sophia received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. For many of her early years in ministry, Elder Sophia worked diligently at the Church of God of Prophecy, Carmichael Road under the leadership of Pastor Delegal & Mayrona Seymour. Elder Sophia has been married to Apostle Phalmon Ferguson for the past 30+ years. In addition to raising two sons and one daughter, Elder Sophia has assumed an active role at United Faith Ministries International where her husband serves as the Senior Pastor. She is co-host of the church’s weekly radio and television broadcast ministry.

Elder Sophia presently serves as Director of Women of Destiny, the church’s Women’s Ministry which includes programs that are designed to reach the congregation’s women wherever they are in life through the use of conferences, seminars and meetings that empower and equip women to fulfill God’s plan and destiny for their lives. Elder Sophia, wife, helpmeet, mother, woman of destiny, is described as a woman of poise and grace who is confidant and a motivator to whomever she comes in contact with. A mighty woman of God who is walking in her season.
